Immigration and the milita

Arizona passing their new Immigration law has awaken the beast.

I want to state first and foremost that I am against this law passed by Arizona. Giving the police the authority to ask anyone for proof of citizenship that they have reasonable suspicion might be illegal is just a free pass to harass Latino's all over the state. Anyone that truly believes this law will not be misused is kidding themselves.

I am still confused at the uproar this has all caused. OK, maybe I'm not confused, but I still have a hard time understanding why this has upset the Left wing media so much and at the same time got so much praise and defense from the Right.

The RIGHT is always screaming about the dangers of big government and how they love freedom. Yet here most of them are backing a law that gives more power to the government. They march for personal privacy and a fear that the government will take their rights away and yet for some unknown reason are OK with it happening to Latinos.

So what's up with the LEFT? They are screaming about civil rights but we all know they don't care about rights. The LEFT is all for taking away my right to property and stepping all over the Constitution, but for some reason when you say the police are going to get some more power they freak and start screaming "Unconstitutional!!!" Since when do they care about the Constitution?

Now i do side with the LEFT on this issue, but I think our idea to solve the immigration dilemma will be much different.

I agree with the genius Milton Friedman who said this about Immigration,

"You cannot simultaneously have free immigration and a welfare state."

Now i really feel that we should be a country that has its arms open and ready to receive immigrants at all times. If you can get to our shores then you can be a citizen. I love that idea. We should be like a certain Island that I love where when you come here your past doesn't matter anymore and you get a fresh start. A chance to live your dream. But....like Milton friedman said, We can't have open borders and a welfare state.
If we were to just let anyone and everyone in then who knows how many people would end up on food stamps and unemployment etc. We would bankrupt our Country faster than we already are.
We of course right now don't have open borders but we are doing a terrible job guarding our borders and that is allowing floods of illegals to wander in.

There is no easy answer to the Immigration problem. Some want to go after the employers who hire Illegals but that's a bad idea. It's the governments fault the Illegals are here in the first place so lets not go and punish honest business men because they hire someone who wants to work. You should be able to hire who you want and that's not the governments business.

I guess the idea i like most is making sure Illegals know that they can't receive government services when they are here. Welfare should be off the table. Drivers licensees off the table. I also believe it's a huge motivation for these Illegals to take the chance and come here when they know that if their children are born here they are U.S Citizens. This needs to end. Let the world know that if you come to this Country illegal that their children born here don't have anymore U.S rights then they do.

I hate the idea of sending someone back to Mexico that has only lived in the U.S but the Welfare state we run in this country has forced these views. When the time comes that we can get rid of Unconstitutional programs like Welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and many, many more, then we can open our borders and let freedom and the free market give people all over the world the chance at the American dream.

But for now Arizona should just follow the Constitution and form a Militia and place them at their borders. The leftist agenda has forced this.
