Arizona passing their new Immigration law has awaken the beast.
I want to state first and foremost that I am against this law passed by Arizona. Giving the police the authority to ask anyone for proof of citizenship that they have reasonable suspicion might be illegal is just a free pass to harass Latino's all over the state. Anyone that truly believes this law will not be misused is kidding themselves.
I am still confused at the uproar this has all caused. OK, maybe I'm not confused, but I still have a hard time understanding why this has upset the Left wing media so much and at the same time got so much praise and defense from the Right.
The RIGHT is always screaming about the dangers of big government and how they love freedom. Yet here most of them are backing a law that gives more power to the government. They march for personal privacy and a fear that the government will take their rights away and yet for some unknown reason are OK with it happening to Latinos.
So what's up with the LEFT? They are screaming about civil rights but we all know they don't care about rights. The LEFT is all for taking away my right to property and stepping all over the Constitution, but for some reason when you say the police are going to get some more power they freak and start screaming "Unconstitutional!!!" Since when do they care about the Constitution?
Now i do side with the LEFT on this issue, but I think our idea to solve the immigration dilemma will be much different.
I agree with the genius Milton Friedman who said this about Immigration,
"You cannot simultaneously have free immigration and a welfare state."
Now i really feel that we should be a country that has its arms open and ready to receive immigrants at all times. If you can get to our shores then you can be a citizen. I love that idea. We should be like a certain Island that I love where when you come here your past doesn't matter anymore and you get a fresh start. A chance to live your dream. But....like Milton friedman said, We can't have open borders and a welfare state.
If we were to just let anyone and everyone in then who knows how many people would end up on food stamps and unemployment etc. We would bankrupt our Country faster than we already are.
We of course right now don't have open borders but we are doing a terrible job guarding our borders and that is allowing floods of illegals to wander in.
There is no easy answer to the Immigration problem. Some want to go after the employers who hire Illegals but that's a bad idea. It's the governments fault the Illegals are here in the first place so lets not go and punish honest business men because they hire someone who wants to work. You should be able to hire who you want and that's not the governments business.
I guess the idea i like most is making sure Illegals know that they can't receive government services when they are here. Welfare should be off the table. Drivers licensees off the table. I also believe it's a huge motivation for these Illegals to take the chance and come here when they know that if their children are born here they are U.S Citizens. This needs to end. Let the world know that if you come to this Country illegal that their children born here don't have anymore U.S rights then they do.
I hate the idea of sending someone back to Mexico that has only lived in the U.S but the Welfare state we run in this country has forced these views. When the time comes that we can get rid of Unconstitutional programs like Welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and many, many more, then we can open our borders and let freedom and the free market give people all over the world the chance at the American dream.
But for now Arizona should just follow the Constitution and form a Militia and place them at their borders. The leftist agenda has forced this.

Progressive progress
During my lunch breaks I love to sit in my car listen the radio. I usually flip back and forth between 620AM and 860AM. I'm a person that prefers listening to both sides of an argument and when 860AM is a super Conservative station and 620Am is a Progressive station, then you know your going to hear different thoughts.
620 is an interesting station for the mere fact that it doesn't just sell its self as "Liberal" but as "Progressive". In my view this just means " Far left" Someone that just happens to be a Democrat is probably nowhere as liberal as these people are. These radio personality's are a huge part of the movement for Single payer health care, Gay marriage, stricter gun laws, higher corporate taxes, more regulations, abolishing any kind of religious presence in schools or government, and most importantly not caring about the Constitution one bit. These "progressives" see government as the answer to almost everything.
I am a little confused with what they think are progressing towards. Calling yourself "Progressive" sounds cool and accepting, but don't we all know they are only Progressing towards Socialism? What else can they progress to? I guess they can progress to Communism but we would all to make a pit stop in Socialism first. I'm not convinced all "Progressives" know what their true end game is. I think most just feel they are fighting for what's right, but while doing so they are headed away from freedom and that is the most important point to understand. For every so called "Righteous" act we are chipping away at what makes us free.
Progressives do seem to fight for a lot of personal freedoms and that's great and I agree with most of their Foreign policy which is to stay out of wars. On these two points we agree, but for some reason in all this talk of personal freedom from the Progressives, they forgot that I have the right to my property. I know a lot of people will say the government shouldn't and cant just come and take my land and give it to whoever they feel like. I would agree that everyone should disprove of such a government action. Then why can they do that with our money? Is my money not my property? If it's not then why is it stealing if a person should come and take my money? How is it theft if it isn't my property? The point is that money is property and when the Federal Government can take your money right out of your pay check they are only admitting to two possible things.
1. They are thieves and there is nothing you can do about it.
2. That money is not your property. It is theirs and they will give you the percentage they feel you deserve.
This is one of the reasons the Progressives confuse me. Why fight so hard for personal freedom and yet the support the direct theft of the American working man's hard earned money?
Here is a quote from John Adams
"The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it anarchy and tyranny commence. If “Thou shalt not covet,” and “Thou shalt not steal,” were not commandments of heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society before it can be civilized or made free." (John Adams)
I don't say that Progressives are pushing us towards Socialism as a scare tactic. Socialism has become a terrible word in our country and so everyone is going to deny being one, even if they agree with it in principal. Progressives are all about moving forward and that sounds good because we are always told to be progressing as people, but government principles are something else. It's fine to take new problems that come our way with an open mind and to be ready to solve unseen problems, but whats' wrong with sticking to the idea of Freedom? Maybe Freedom is the greatest of gifts we can have and progressing ourselves out of freedom and into servitude just seems stupid.

Tea is gross
The Tea Party movement has either got people's panties all in a bunch or really believing that the next great grassroots revolution has begun. I applaud all those that don't really care about Tea Party at all.
Fox news wants to sell these groups of over the hill, upper class, white people has a bunch of freedom fighters when we all know they are just republicans. The fact that they are just Republicans ( or independents that only vote Republican) should be main reason you shouldn't care about what they have to say. Where were these angry Patriots during Bush's destruction of the Constitution? Where were they when Bush was expanding Government and bailing out the private companies? I can tell you where they were....they were at home just happy we were bombing non believers and feeling good that they weren't getting their guns taken away. These people are holding signs that say " Don't tread on me!" and yet you can be sure they were all for the Patriot act and still are. They should be carrying signs that read " Don't tread on me... Tread on them."
From polls that were given this same group that is shouting about the Constitution is all in favor of programs like Medicare and Social Security. How can this be? I guess this is just a good example of how 99% of people in the U.S feel about the Constitution. It's an old document that is great to use when it agrees with your beliefs, but when you want something that this old document doesn't allow....well...I guess that piece of paper isn't really that important anymore. Medicare and Social security are not Constitutional.
Another group called " Theother95%" has formed in reaction to the Tea Party and are saying that they represent all those Americans that received tax cuts from Obama and are happy with with this Country. Now i guess Obama cut taxes for 95% percent of working Americans and these people argue that we should be happy because of this, as if Barack did us all a huge favor by giving us back our own money. The terrible thing about the groups position is that there is no patriotism at all in this argument. As a nation we should fighting tooth and nail to keep the Federal GOV. in its rightful place and not just grin like idiots because the politicians decide to throw us a bone. A tax cut? Who cares. Politicians all sell us the same crap that Karl Marx tried to sell and that was "Class Warfare." I guess Big Communist Karl has succeeded enormously. The Politicians ( especially the Left) like to sell us by vowing to raise taxes on those that have too much already and at the same time remind us that we have been getting the shaft. This is all just to cause Class Warfare. The Haves vs. The have nots. The government wants to be Robin Hood.
The passing of the Health Care Bill seems to have really got things going now for the Tea Party and for good reason. The bill is terrible. It's unconstitutional and everyone knows it will cost three times what they are predicting. Forcing people to buy a product from private companies is just plain bad no matter how you look at it and this isn't a solution for our Health Care problems in the U.S. The Left is only worried about progressing our Country more to becoming like Europe and the Right only wants things to stay the same, but neither of these are solutions. I applaud the left for at least trying to think of a plan, even if its a harmful one. The do nothing solution that has come from the Right is worthless and isn't helping the problem at all. How about a plan that is Constitutional and founded in free market principals? How about getting the government out of Health care and letting us buy insurance across state lines? How about getting rid of the FDA that not only kills thousands a year with its regulations but also causes all our medications to cost 80% more than they should? Everyone knows Government involvement in health care has sky rocketed prices. This isn't a secret. So the secret isn't to do More or nothing. The secret is to do less...much less.
In conclusion, the Tea Party just wants to return to the glory days of George W. Bush and the left just wants us to become Europe ( who by the way are way too kinky) Both of these are terrible choices and should be rejected by anyone that believes in freedom.
